COSTING & QUOTING

We understand that deciding on a budget is not always easy. For those buying a piece of jewellery for the first time, it is perhaps the most daunting part of commissioning a custom-made piece of jewellery.

However, your budget is an essential part of the process and we therefore ask that you consider an approximate figure to give to us at our first meeting, if possible.
This will enable us to assess what type of design and materials to use in presenting you with options, and will save time which may be wasted on unworkable proposals. Pricing of gemstones, pearls and metals varies widely according to quality factors, as well cut and colour. As such, we do not offer estimate quotations based on a general discussion of a piece, but rather quote accurately on specific stones, metals and design. We always aim to keep the final price within a ten percent range of your budget.

Sourcing & Consultation

The next step is for us to source the best selection of gemstones, pearls and metals for your piece. This research can take a few days.

Once we are satisfied with a good selection, we will send you a preliminary cost estimate, along with pictures of the materials we have found.

At this point, you will be invited to discuss design ideas in more detail.

Final Quote & Design

Once you have chosen your materials, and finalized the design, we will provide you with a final quote. Upon acceptance of the quote, a deposit is required to secure your order. Please note that due to fluctuations in all material and commodity prices, all quotes are valid for 7 days and must be accepted in this time frame.

Once we receive your deposit, we can begin detailed designs.

Due to the time required to work on these designs, we may charge for any major additional design work or changes to the material. This will be quoted on and included in your final invoice and quote.

Time Frame

With your final approval of the design, and it having been secured, manufacturing commences.

Every piece has unique requirements and we will be able to provide you with a realistic time frame for completion and delivery according to your individual design.

We require a minimum of 7 working days for manufacturing, ensuring sufficient time for each part of the process. If you have a tight deadline, we will do our best to accommodate you, where possible.

We hope you understand that we are working to create tiny pieces of art, and that each and every part of the process takes time.

Final Payment

Payment of the balance outstanding must be made prior to collection or the item being dispatched and delivered.
